I give credit where credit is due: Nancy Drew.  As a wee library dweller I dog eared Nancy's collection with relish and found in her a fervent need to tell my own tale.  I wrote in anything that took to pen or pencil and haven't stopped.  Be it fiction, non-fiction, memoir or poetry I find I'm happiest when purposed.  Writing is my purpose.  It is the makeup of all that I am and I feel exceptionally fortunate for having the understanding and resources to pursue it each and every day.

I adore Kazuo Ishiguro and stand behind his simple assertion that "I could have led another life, but I'm living this one."  A declaration I'll gladly stand behind.

I'm fortunate to be a member and three time workshop attendee of the Boston, MA writing haven Grub Street.  Not only does Grub Street offer affordable, productive and innovative writing workshops, but it helps foster community and agency amongst aspiring writers in the region.
